Former Summerville Police officer charged with sexual exploitation of minor
SUMMERVILLE, SC - Authorities
have arrested a former Summerville Police officer for sexual exploitation of a
minor.
Police arrested 40-year-old,
Carlisle Johnson Floyd Sunday September 14, 2014. He was charged with 3 counts of second degree
sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony carrying 2-10 years in prison.
According to the arrest warrant
Floyd possessed sexually explicit materials involving minors.
According to Dorchester School
District Two, Floyd was one of the School Resource Officers assigned to
Summerville High School. Additionally,
Floyd volunteered as an assistant wrestling coach at Summerville. Floyd has since been removed from all his
duties at Summerville High. Officials
say there is no indication of criminal activity connected to his position at
the high school.
Floyd was booked at the
Dorchester County Detention Center.
