Idiot cop, idiot behavior

A Pulaski County KY deputy is accused of using excessive force on several occasions by witnesses that include cops from other departments who have been testifying at a pretrial hearing for a criminal case. Oddly, the trial isn’t against the officer but against a person he arrested who is trying to prove the officer has a long history of using excessive force then filing false charges to cover for it. Included the nine incidents described are allegations that were caught on dashcam showing the deputy beat a cuffed person with a baton and testimony from an officer claiming he saw the deputy punch and repeatedly kick a handcuffed man to the point he felt it should qualify as assault. The judge heard the testimony to determine if the line of defense can be used in trial. The department claims they wanted to get him anyway because he was wanted on unrelated warrants, though it’s not clear that those alleged warrants would have justified a raid like this.
