Rome police officer accused of raping woman

A Rome police officer has been charged with rape, according to the Rome Police
Department.
Jason A. Paul, 32, is charged with rape. He was
arrested early Monday morning.
According to officials, Paul allegedly had sex
with an adult woman without her consent early Sunday morning in Rome.
Paul has been arraigned in Rome City
Court. He has been suspended without pay from duty.
