Pa. officer suspended for alleged bobcat shooting
FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (AP) - A police officer at
Fort Indiantown Gap is on suspension after two other officers claimed he shot
several deer and a bobcat while on duty.
Pennlive.com reported Saturday (http://bit.ly/1yIoVsi
) that an investigation of 47-year-old Richard Behne Jr. of Newport began two
months ago.
A spokesman for the National Guard facility told
Pennlive that Behne's on suspension without pay while the Game Commission
investigates.
A document from a search of Behne's home last month
says investigators took a bobcat skin, eight deer antlers and other items.
Behne told Pennlive he doesn't expect to be charged
but declined further comment.
