“Just when I think I’m out, they drag me back in again”
So, we’re sitting in a traffic jam in the evening rush hour on Dolly Madison Drive in McLean with several hundred other cars when some idiot cop, but I repeat myself, decides he doesn’t want to wait in traffic.
He drives up on to the side walk, passes several stopped cars and pulls behind us and beeps the horn and waves us to go forward...into the trunk of the stopped car in front of us we assumed....unable to move, the idiot beats up his steering wheel in a temper tantrum and starts leaning in on his horn.
No more caffine for this guy.
We took out our cell phones to record the tantrum, when the cop decided to put the car in reverse, drive back up on the sidewalk and drive away, only to wait at a red light with the rest of us. We could not get a clear photo of him three lanes away. To make sure we didn’t get his photo, the cop did a u-turn against oncoming traffic and drove up a side road.
While the Police Chief has taken a giant step in deciding to (occasionally) release the names of his boys involved in issues, the greater problem of thug behavior goes on.
So here we go again. The cops in Fairfax County just don’t seem to understand that a pen is far deadlier than a gun.
