PG officer suspended after assault charge in DC
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — The
head of the Prince George's County Police Department says one of his officers
has been suspended after being arrested and charged with assault with a
dangerous weapon in Washington.

Chief Mark Magaw made the announcement Friday. Cpl. Michael Brown, a 12-year
veteran assigned to the aviation unit, was arrested Thursday when he was off
duty
Magaw did not detail the
circumstances of Brown's arrest but said he has been suspended without pay
pending an administrative hearing.
Brown is scheduled to return to
court in Washington on July 23.
