Retired Arsenal police officer charged with sexual abuse of child

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A man who once worked for the Directorate of Emergency Services at Redstone Arsenal has been arrested on serious criminal charges.
Michale Lynn Spradley, 63, is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.  Spradley was arrested Wednesday and booked in the Huntsville/Madison County Metro Jail.
He posted $30,000 bond and was released Thursday.
Redstone Arsenal’s public affairs office confirmed Spradley is retired from the Arsenal.
WHNT News 19 contacted Huntsville Police for further information about the charges against Spradley.  They said another agency is handling the case.  We are working to get more details.
