LMPD officer charged with DUI,
leaving scene of an accident
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A
Louisville Metro Police Department officer has been placed on administrative
reassignment after he was pulled over by officers in Bullitt County.
Officer James Hemmer Jr., 43,
was arrested by Mt. Washington Police on Sept. 11 and charged with DUI and
leaving the scene of an accident.
The LMPD's Public Integrity
Unit and Professional Standards Unit are investigating the case.
Hemmer has been an officer with
LMPD since Feb. of 1999.
