Joe Moore knows Fairfax County residents spend a lot of time in traffic. (Even though like 80% of the force Moore probably doesn’t live in the county….now there’s a story)

For the past nine years, the county police officer has been trying to make them safer while on the roads, and his efforts appear to be paying off.  (Because……………………………..why? )

Moore was recently named the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police's traffic safety officer of the year. (Is this why?) And, he says, the number of traffic fatalities is going down  (Prove it) while the number of citations written is going up as cops crack down on distracted-driving offenses. (No, no, no, wrong, wrong, wrong. The cops, almost 2000 of them with a $225,000,000 budget, an air force and a navy, have nothing else to do but to prey on the real citizens of Fairfax County )

As a member of the department's motorcycle squad, Moore has led educational and enforcement initiatives in what he sees as the one of the department's most important divisions. (Wrong, Moore’s job is to sit around on his government worker ass until we need him, that’s all we want him to do…… educational and enforcement initiatives are the work of elected officials not the cops)

Traffic is "the number one complaint from citizens in this area," he said. (Cops lie. Prove it)

But the overabundance of cars on the roads also means there's plenty of unsafe behaviors, and that's what Moore is trying to curb.

He has developed distracted-driving enforcement training for fellow officers, (A dangerously broad term “distracted-driving” Cops lie) worked on county and nationwide "click it or ticket" campaigns and hit the streets to cite distracted motorists. Over the past year, he has helped lead a Fairfax police initiative that issues tickets to drivers who don't "pay full time and attention" to the road, which can include behaviors like texting, talking on the phone and eating.

"It's become so commonplace that while you're behind the wheel, that you use that time to get other stuff done," said Moore, who called distracted driving an "epidemic." (Cops lie. Prove it)

Fairfax County Cops Entrapment Scam Fails at a big cost

For over a month, six Fairfax County cops have an on going entrap scam to arrest  citizens that has, in its latest failure, attempted to trap 51 adults with almost no result.  

Fairfax County police cadets approach adults in parking lots of businesses that possess state Alcoholic Beverage Control licenses and ask the people to purchase alcohol for them.

If asked whether he is 21 years of age, the police cadet will respond with his true age. If the sale or service of alcohol transpires, a plain-clothes police officer intervenes and places charges against the adult.

Police approached 51 adults and made five arrests for illegal purchases of alcohol at 7-Eleven stores at 7451 Patterson Road, 1931 Old Gallows Road, 8391 Leesburg Pike, 8616 Park St. and 2915 Cedar Lane.

The operation was conducted using two teams, each consisting of one plain-clothes officer, one uniformed officer and one cadet.

Fairfax cop charged with assault

The arrest happened at the 12800 block of Noltland Castle Drive, Bristow Va. 20136

A 21-year veteran of the Fairfax County Police Department has been arrested and charged with assault and battery.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, Brian James Sonnenberg, 44, of Bristow, was arrested Friday and charged with domestic assault and battery after a verbal altercation with an acquaintance “escalated and got out of hand.”

Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said that police were called to a Bristow residence by a 21-year-old man who reported that he had been assaulted by Sonnenberg, who is a veteran officer with the Fairfax County Police Department.

“Mr. Sonnenberg has been a police officer with the department for 21 years and stationed at the Mason District police station,” said Fairfax County Police Spokesman Bud Walker. “He has been placed on administrative leave pending the result of this case.”

According to Perok, the 21-year-old alleged victim sustained minor injuries and Sonnenberg was arrested without incident. Court date and bond information are currently unavailable, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County police are looking for Micah Kristian Neil Turner on grand larceny charges.
A man told police somebody broke into his car, which was parked in the area of Davis Fairfax Lane, located near the Prince William County government complex  between July 29 and Aug. 1, according to Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Police allege Turner pawned the GPS unit, valued at $275, at the Fairfax pawn shop on Aug. 1.
Turner, according to Perok, missed a court date on Aug. 23 for an unrelated malicious wounding charge.
Turner, 18, whose last known address is 12912 Ketterman Drive, near the County Center neighborhood, is wanted for grand larceny, tampering with a vehicle and failure to appear in court, Perok said.
Police described Turner as black, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police ask that anyone with information relating to Turner’s whereabouts call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700, or 1-866-411-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.

Fairfax County Police entrapment scam

At least 11 Fairfax County cops held a stop and question checkpoint to find, they say, drunk driver on Friday, September 16 from 11:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. Saturday. They stopped and questioned 971 cars in the westbound lanes of Route 7 near the intersection of Gilman Lane.

There were no arrests made for DWI....not one. So, towards the end of the night, the cops frantically started issuing summonses, seven in all,  for what they termed "miscellaneous traffic offenses."
