Three police officers in
Edison, N.J. have been accused of conspiring against a police officer in North
Brunswick, N.J. who arrested one of their friends for drunk driving.
Michael Dotro Victor Aravena and William Gesell were
charged with fourth-degree conspiring to retaliate, according to The
Star-Ledger.
While no actions were taken by
the three officer, prosecutors say the cops planned to try to dig up some dirt
on the North Brunswick police officer via state computers.
Gesell and Aravena were
suspended without pay, but Dotro was already suspended without pay as he faces
several criminal counts, including arson and attempted murder, from May 2013.
According to CBS New York,
Dotro allegedly tried to burn down the home of Edison Police Capt. Mark
Anderko.
Dotro was reportedly angry at
Capt. Anderko for moving him from the night shift to days and ordering him to
undergo a psychology evaluation.
Anderko was in his home with
his wife, children and mother during the alleged crime, but all made it out
alive.
