Police Officer Suspended, Charged With Second-Degree Assault
PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY, Md. —A
Prince George's police officer has been suspended from his job after he was
charged with second-degree assault following an incident Sunday.
According to the Prince
George's County Police Department website blog, probationary officer Themis Speis
was involved in a domestic situation while he was off duty.
The victim suffered minor
injuries and was treated at a hospital.
Speis has been with the
department for about 18 months. He is assigned to the Bureau of Patrol,
District VI.
