Police officer curses fellow officers during arrest
25–year-old cop Jared Collins was arrested for drunk
driving and a number of other charges.
According to a police document we obtained, Collins
shouted at officers as they arrested him saying, I’m a tough son of a
(expletive) and I can kick all of your (expletive)
It all started at the Tri State Bank, people saw a woman
trying to strangle Collins.
He broke away, got angry and reportedly punched one of
the banks cars.
Witnesses say he ran toward the flying saucer restaurant
got in his car and sped off.
Police got there and overheard a woman on the phone
saying, “They’re not after you come back.”
Soon, Collins showed back up. Police pulled him over and
smelled alcohol.
Collins actions are just the latest in a string of
officers in trouble recently.
Some arrested for shoplifting, domestic issues, even
buying drugs.
“We do background checks on everyone if they have
criminal issues not going to be hired. I’m not sure what else we can do but
maybe we should talk to the police director.” said Jim Strickland, Memphis City
Council.
