Suspended idiot cop faces new charges
An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department idiot cop,
who was suspended after being charged with trying to cover up a squad car
accident, faces a drunken-driving charge.
Police idiot cops found Matthew Elam, 42, unresponsive in
a pickup truck in the drive-through lane of Steak n Shake, 4310 Southport
Crossing Drive, on March 31. He was charged with operating a vehicle while
intoxicated.
Elam was arrested in November 2010, accused of attempting
to cover up a June 15, 2010, hit-and-run crash in his patrol car by getting the
vehicle repaired at a civilian body shop.
A grand jury indicted Elam on charges of official
misconduct, a felony, and failure to stop after an accident and false
reporting, both misdemeanors.
Elam
was suspended, and IMPD officials are seeking his dismissal. His trial is
pending.
